FUSION BY CUF MILANO WINS THE GERMAN DESIGN AWARD 2020.

Frankfurt, November 22, 2019 – CUF Milano, a new office design brand, wins at the German Design Awards 2020. Precisely in the category Excellent Product Design – Office Furniture with the Fusion collection designed by John Bennett + Sakura Adachi.

This is an important recognition for a brand born just a year ago from the thirty-year experience of Centrufficio Loreto S.p.A. with the aim of quickly achieving an important international development and bringing its #madeinmilano to a wider, more informed and demanding audience. The claim “made in Milan” is an evolution of the acclaimed made in Italy, which, for the world of furniture, is synonymous of quality, design, attention to detail and raw materials. Milan is the center of production and creativity of the parent company and its R&D center where new products are born, and where the prototype slowly takes shape under the supervision of the designers collaborating, among the most renowned in the contract sector such as Daniele Lo Scalzo Moscheri, John Bennett+Sakura Adachi and Progetto CMR.

“An intelligent system including workstations, storage cabinets and lounge elements. Regardless of the configuration, it lends any environment a family-friendly and informal atmosphere within a comfortable environment. A young and elegant timeless design fascinating both formally and aesthetically.”  It is with this motivation expressed by the Jury composed by an international panel of authoritative names of industry, design, academia and science, that the Fusion collection, designed by JOHN BENNETT+SAKURA ADACHI, for CUF Milano, has won the competition.

The German Design Awards are the first international awards presented by the German Design Council with the aim of discovering and celebrating uniqueness in design. Every year the award is presented in the product and communication design fields, to all those realities capable of opening new paths in the international design landscape. The German Design Awards, launched in 2012, are among the most prestigious design competitions in the world and enjoy great authority not only in the insider community.

FUSION is an office system responding to a new scenario, such as space sharing and co-working. Built on the basis of a structure conveying three-dimensionality to space, Fusion is designed around the behaviors and activities of people in the office space. Each element allows a variety of configurations which are not meant only for operational work, but also for meetings and short breaks in more relaxing, convivial atmospheres. Perfect even in residential and less institutional contexts.
